
The Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is one of the most powerful methods of providing dynamic content on the Web. CGI is a generic interface for calling external programs to crunch numbers, query databases, generate customized graphics, or perform any other server-side task.
CGI is available for most Web Servers and can be used with a wide variety of programming languages, e.g. Perl, C, C++, etc.

This course requires knowledge and experience in one of the common programming languages, e.g. Perl, C, C++. Further is the comprehension of the document description language HTML an advantage.
